Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrived from Barcelona to Stamford Bridge to a lot of fanfare back in the summer of 2022.
However, the Gabonese's spell at Chelsea was extremely frustrating as he failed to replicate the scoring prowess of his Arsenal days.
The forward managed only three goals in 21 games for the Blues and left the club in the summer of 2023.
Speaking to L'Equipe, Auba recalled his disastrous spell at Chelsea: “I understood from December, that the season was over, I already wanted to leave, but you can’t play for more than three clubs.
“I asked myself: is this what it means to be old? And I answered: It’s you who decides. Either you decide to follow this path and say to yourself maybe it’s old age.
“Or you say, no, that’s bullsh*t, I still have things to do. I was disappointed and jaded, I got a little… ‘lost,’ that’s a big word, but I let myself go.”
The 34-year-old is at Marseille now, where he's scored 27 goals in 46 appearances so far this season.
