Karim Benzema was recently spotted training in Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training facility after the 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich.
However, as per Fabrizio Romano, he is only availing the services of his former side’s training ground to help regain fitness and recover from an injury.
Benzema received the permission of Al Ittihad to travel to Madrid for a few days and do his fitness exercises at the Valdebebas training facility.
Real Madrid had no issues with this at all and immediately agreed to his proposal, but have no interest in signing him at all.
The club does not wish to bring him back and are just helping him regain his fitness levels and recover from injury.
With that being said, Benzema is likely to leave Al Ittihad in the summer and could be eyeing a return to Europe.
