Kylian Mbappe met with French President Emmanuel Macron and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Tuesday.
"You’re going to create problems for us," Macron told Mbappe with a smile on his face, a joke that RMC Sport believes to be a reference to the forward's impending move to Real Madrid.
Macron also spoke about the 2022 World Cup final. He said: "There are also so many beautiful memories, in less serious but as vibrant moments as this 2022 World Cup. Kylian Mbappe’s extraordinary game, the memory of Kolo Muani’s saved shot, which still remains bitter in French hearts.
"But that’s the thing with the king of sports. They have had a fantastic tournament, with what I think was the most spectacular final in history. France was there with its fans, its security forces, its companies like RATP and its footballers."
Meanwhile, the Emir of Qatar has reportedly wished the 25-year-old 'good luck'.
The France international was invited to a presidential reception as Macron and discussed a ceasefire in Gaza. PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi was also present. Mbappe obviously wasn't involved in the discussion about Palestine and Israel.
It's been previously reported that Kylian will leave PSG on contract expiry and sign for Real Madrid in the summer.
