Crystal Palace's Jeffrey Schlupp singles out Eden Hazard as toughest opponent faced in Premier League

Crystal Palace player Jeffrey Schlupp has named Eden Hazard as the best player he has played against in Premier League.

"We played against Barcelona in a pre-season game when I was at Leicester, so [Lionel] Messi, obviously," he said during a live Q&A session on Palace's Instagram account.

“But in the Premier League, I would say, Eden Hazard. He is a special player.

“It is not until you come up against him, that you realise, 'Wow this guy is different'.”

We hope to see this kind of magic again very soon:

Hazard spent seven seasons at the Stamford Bridge before leaving West London to join Real Madrid in a €100m transfer. The 29-year-old's debut season in the Spanish capital, however, has been hampered by multiple injuries.

So far this season, the winger has missed more than 200 days of action through injuries. He has scored one goal and made five assists in 15 appearances for Madrid this campaign.

According to Belgium boss Roberto Martinez, the 29-year-old is close to an injury return and 'will start running again in the next few days'.
