Marcus Rashford was involved in a war of words with a Man United fan at Old Trafford during the 3-2 win over Newcastle United.
Asked if he saw that happen, Erik ten Hag remarked: “I saw yesterday, I felt the fans, they were all very positive about the mood, spirit and ambiance in the stadium. That is very good and it shows the strong bond between the team and the fans.”
Ten Hag doesn’t seem to have directly referenced the incident. Instead, he just seems to be overwhelmed with the kind of support he received from the Old Trafford faithful during and after the game.
Rashford, to his credit, carried on well and made a decent impact as a substitute. He came close to scoring late on and seems to have regained his fitness ahead of the FA Cup final.
The Englishman, who has scored eight goals and provided five assists in all competitions this season. He will aim to end the 2023/24 campaign on a high note by helping Man United lift the FA Cup trophy.
