Former Man United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has been super impressed with what he’s seen from Rasmus Hojlund in his debut season.
Speaking about him after his goal in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United, Hargreaves told Premier League productions: “He seems to have a real spirit about him, he’s a bit of a Viking and I like that.
“When things get tough you need players who will fight for you and he will do that They need to get players around him who will create chances because I think he can score 25 to 30 goals next season.
“He just needs to be playing consistently, stop taking him out and resting him, if he’s fit give him a run and let him get to know the other players and build partnerships.”
No Man United player has been able to reach the 25-30 goal mark this season. Marcus Rashford scored 30 goals under Erik ten Hag in the 2022/23 season. It's now a challenge for Hojlund to double his goal tally after reaching 15 goals in his debut campaign.
Hojlund has never scored over 20 goals in a single season in his career so far. But as long as he gets better service next season, he will be determined to break that for Man United.
