Wesley Sneijder pinpoints exact moment Erik ten Hag 'lost the Man United dressing room'

Speaking on the Vandaag Inside show, Wesley Sneijder said: "Should I tell you where it went wrong for Erik ten Hag?

"On the day that he decided to battle Cristiano Ronaldo. That's where he started losing all the respect of the dressing room.

"He thought it would work out well for him, but it's the opposite. Everyone in the dressing room wondered if he is alright in the head by doing that."

Ten Hag openly clashed with Ronaldo during his first few months in charge at Manchester United, dropping the Portuguese from the starting XI.

Cristiano ended up leaving Old Trafford in the middle of last season but the Dutchman now fears for his job after a disappointing 2023/24 campaign.
