Omari Forson made his first start for Man United in the 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Saturday.
Asked if the youngster 'struggled', Erik ten Hag told a press conference: "I wouldn’t say that. I think he had some good actions and it was a reasonable performance.
"It’s never easy, especially when there’s a slow start, but there were some good actions and he was reliable in his job, so I wouldn’t say so."
The 19-year-old started because Rasmus Hojlund suffered a knock. The young striker was taken off early in the second half.
Forson combined well with Diogo Dalot on several occasions and was also seen helping the right-back with his defensive duties. Maybe Omari could have done better but it was a game in which no United players covered themselves in glory if we're being honest.
