Andre Onana has been shaky at best, woeful at worst in his first nine games at Man United.
The fans haven't seen the team's second-choice goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, in action after his £4.3m move from Fenerbahce.
Man United face another Turkish side, Galatasaray, in the Champions League on Tuesday and Erik ten Hag was asked whether the 25-year-old has a chance to feature.
"You will see [if he plays tomorrow]," the gaffer said, as relayed by MEN. "But we chose in the League Cup to play Andre because he has to adapt to the England standard. That's why we preferred Andre to play.
"But also we have to progress Altay, that's clear. He's made a very good impression in training and he's really developing, so we're really happy with it. We are convinced we have the two right goalkeepers in the squad to do the job for us."
