Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Tottenham caretaker manager Ryan Mason said: "We need a reaction, absolutely a reaction.
"Sunday was disappointing for us. I would hope and expect a reaction from not only the players but everyone in the building.
"Everyone involved in the club as well. As a professional when you have a result like we did you expect a reaction. I think that that takes care of itself.
"We were hurting but ultimately that is a couple of days now and our focus is on Thursday and we believe that we can get a positive result."
Interim manager Cristian Stellini, who himself had replaced Antonio Conte, was sacked at Spurs following last week's 6–1 defeat against Newcastle.
Mason will be in charge at Tottenham until the end of the 2022/23 season as they retain a tiniest bit of hope of securing their place in the Champions League.
