Ten Hag played key role in Garner's sale & 3 more under-radar stories at Man United

Carrick offers opinion on Ten Hag

"He's a good coach. He's done very well at Ajax but time will tell. I hope they have a good season, I really do. I know a lot of people there and I still go and support them. Everyone wants things now. Whether that's football, business - patience levels seem to be going lower and lower," ex-Man United player and coach Michael Carrick told Europort about Erik ten Hag.

"I think it can either be too good or too low. It's not too often where you get that middle ground where everyone is a little bit more realistic. Hopefully they'll have a really good season and seasons beyond that and be successful."

Ten Hag key behind Garner sale

Erik ten Hag's opinion was key behind Man United's decision to sell James Garner to Everton, The Athletic reports.

It's claimed that the boss deemed the 21-year-old not good enough to play every week for United.

Lewis Hamilton supporters Jim Ratcliffe takeover of United

F1 legend Lewis Hamilton has hinted that he will support Jim Ratcliffe in his takeover of Man United from the Glazers.

He said: "I haven't had a call from him asking if I want to be involved in that just yet but I do want to get more and more involved in teams.

'But Jim's part-boss and part-partner, I would say we're more partners because we're in this together and I hope in the future to do something with Jim and build with him, I don't know when that'll be or what that'll be."

Ten Hag blocked Shoretire loan deal before transfer deadline day

Shola Shoretire saw his chance at being loaned to another club blocked by Man United before the end of the transfer window, claims MEN.

The reason for that is because Ten Hag indicated that he wants him to stay at Old Trafford this season.
