Another coach to follow Jurgen Klopp out of Liverpool — he's been there for 15 years

Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg is set to leave Anfield at the end of this season after 15 years of service, The Athletic reports.

His contract with the club expires this summer, and he has decided to embark on a new challenge rather than be a part of Arne Slot's coaching staff.

Achterberg started his Liverpool spell at the club academy in 2009 before being promoted to the first team by Sir Kenny Dalglish. He also worked with Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp.

The 52-year-old Dutchman is credited with identifying Alisson as the perfect signing for Liverpool in 2018.
