'Now the league will be difficult and we're out of Europe': Gravenberch on Liverpool lifting themselves to face Spurs

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has opened up on the disappointment of the past couple of weeks which has led to the Reds being out of contention for the Europa League and made winning the league nearly impossible.

He says the team must lift themselves from the disappointment and be ready to face Tottenham at the weekend.

“We wanted to win and we didn’t do it, so we’re disappointed,” said the Dutchman.

“Now the league will be really difficult and also we are out of Europe. We have to finish the league well now.”

He continued: “Everybody is disappointed. But we have to go [forward] now. Tottenham is this week and we have to prepare for that – and we will do.

“We have to prepare well for them and we have to believe and we have to win that game.”

“It was a really hard [week],” added Gravenberch. “Of course as a player you want to win prizes and now it will be really difficult.

“You have to keep dreaming and keep believing always, but it will be really hard for us. Everyone is disappointed because we wanted to win [at West Ham].”
