Premier League to introduce semi-automated offside next season — all clubs approved

The Premier League will finally introduce semi-automated offside technology for the 2024/25 season.

Previously, they were reluctant to do that, even though the system is used effectively by FIFA and UEFA.

Now, however, all 20 Premier League clubs have agreed to use the technology, starting from 'one of the autumn international breaks' next season.

Had the technology been introduced for this season, it could've helped officials avoid several controversies, including infamously ruling out Luis Diaz's goal against Tottenham due to a non-existent violation.
