"We started (pre-season) with four senior players and the rest kids, and they did really well," Jurgen Klopp told the We Are Liverpool podcast.
"You can see they grow in a year massively. Bobby Clark looks nearly like a man now, he's 18.
"Ben Doak is still 17 but it's just a joy a watch, with all the little struggles he has with losing the ball here and there, but the bravery and the speed and power, it's so cool to see.
"Conor Bradley obviously grew a lot in the last year. Mel Frauendorf is just a wonderful kid to have around, and there are a few other boys as well. I like that part of pre-season very much."
Pre-season is always the time for young players to put themselves on the map as the coach takes stock of the squad at his disposal.
We're yet to see if any of the players Klopp mentioned will be involved with the first team next season. Bradley has the biggest chance of them all as he looks set to be Trent Alexander-Arnold's backup at right-back.
