Liverpool reportedly end pursuit of Chiesa (reliability: 5 stars)

Liverpool will no longer be pursuing their interest in Juventus star Federico Chiesa, according to Sky Sports.

The Reds have been heavily linked with the Euro 2020 star, who is reportedly valued at €100m.

Liverpool made an offer for the player but were put off by Fiorentina's asking price for the 23-year-old.

The Reds also tried to take the player on a loan from Fiorentina, like Juventus, and sign him permanently after, but the Old Lady's interest in the player is proving a major stumbling block.

The Anfield giants have therefore given up any hopes of signing the player.
