It wasn't long ago that we heard about a new Messi this, a new Ronaldo that. Nowadays, we have new Haalands.
One of those is Zan Vipotnik, a 21-year-old Slovenian striker who is wanted by Real Betis. According to AS, the top scorer of Slovenian PrvaLiga is firmly on the radar for the club that finished sixth in La Liga last season.
1,85 cm tall Vipotnik plays for Maribor, Slovenia's most successful club. Last season, he scored 20 goals in the domestic league and 23 in all competitions.
Interestingly, he only scored once in the first 11 games of the past campaign. After that barren spell, he became unstoppable, failing to score in only five games out of 19.
Vipotnik is the most prolific U23 striker in Europe after Erling Haaland himself. Even the World Cup revelation Goncalo Ramos is behind him with 19, although he plays in a better league.
And according to Sky Germany, other clubs like Celtic, Brugge, Feyenoord and a bunch of others are showing interest. Among these, Celtic and Real Betis stand out.
