Xavi unleashes beast in Barca squad – he scored more goals within 24 days than in 5 years with former club

Andreas Christensen has scored his third goal for Barcelona this season!

Interestingly, the Dane did it within less than a month, finding the net against Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and now Girona.

The last time Christensen has scored three or more in a single season was back in 2016/17 when he was on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach. He only found the net twice in his five years of playing for Chelsea!

Clearly, the 28-year-old benefits from playing as a defensive midfielder, supporting Barca's attacks more often than usual. He also got two goals from set-pieces – and Xavi has recently made it clear they've been working on dead-ball situations.

Against Girona alone, Christensen has had multiple chances to score, converting one of them.
