Some Girona players have performed beyond expectation this season, like Artem Dovbyk who is La Liga's top scorer with 19 goals. There's also Savio — a scintillating winger on his way to Manchester City.
But Xavi believes Girona players may not perform as well at Barca due to a lack of peace of mind.
"It is not the same to play for Girona as for Barca. You have more peace of mind," Xavi said.
"I don’t know if they would adapt here, they have quality players who have played very good football."
Eric Garcia recently said his Girona teammates are succeeding because of the tactics of their manager Michel, not for a lack of pressure.
Meanwhile, we've seen some underperforming Barca players go on loan and still struggle, like Ansu Fati and Clement Lenglet.
