Please read to understand before you respond… are you happy with the way de jong has sustained another injury?
Since we have a good option in Fermin, there’s no need to rush Pedri so he won’t be injured again. 
And yes, in a fast paced game like Madrid I will start Fermin and if I’m leading I can sub in Pedri to calm the game.

Football is no longer a slow game as it's played in the Spanish league, especially orchestrated by Barca. I will bench Pedri if I was in Xavi's position and play a midfielder, who I can guarantee will always want to score if opportunity presents itself and that player right now in Barca is Fermin. He's not overhyped or overrated, but his doing really well. I can't remember the last time we had a midfielder who scores up to 8 goals in his debut season.

these two are deferent players and have their own type of games they can both fit in well. fermin is fast, pedri is a key holder. like kroos and modric. sorry to use these example guys. they are both great players but you are able to tell the difference. tough games are for kroos when they lid or want the pace of the game to calm you will see luka modric which is good.

Yes, you discover them when you no longer have choice but to play them. I just smile when people hail Xavi for discovering Yamal, Cubarsi but they forgot he had no other choice when he discovered them. You can argue with your keypad, this is my observation. 
Why didn’t he keep Nico but instead he opted for Oriol Romeu.
Fermin helped against Athletico and Napoli but Pedri came back and immediately benched him. 
My opinion, Xavi needs to let Pedri be for now… a short sub for Pedri should be fine. 
Anyways, I hope Xavi will be able to manage the midfield well when Gavi, de jong and Pablo comes back. Everyone is important.
