'I'm doing well': Eric Garcia sends message to Barca

"I have a contract [with Barcelona] – what is 100 per cent is that I will go back to Barca. Then we will see what happens," Eric Garcia has told RAC1.

"I know there’s competition at Barca, but I also know I'm doing well at Girona. I know my football. Competition makes everything better," the centre-back added.

Garcia has been a regular starter on loan at Girona that exceed any kind of expectations this season. The defender is among the La Liga players with the most passes attempted into the final third this term.

Barcelona reportedly want to offload the 23-year-old for around €15m this summer. Xavi considered Garcia an important squad member last year, but things have probably changed amid the progress of Pau Cubarsi.
