Earlier in the week, it was reported that talented Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has a secret clause in his new contract that allows Barca to get him for cheap in the coming summer.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, there's no such clause. The ace reporter claims Barca will have to pay a whopping £100m to sign the Brazilian midfielder.
At that price, Guimaraes is categorically out of reach for Barca considering the stiff financial restraints placed on the club by La Liga.
Barca's modus operandi will likely remain the same with the club opting to sign players as free agents, such as Gundogan. Or players who can arrive on deferred transfer fees like Ferran Torres and Raphinha.
Guimaraes is a flamboyant midfielder who would instantly improve Barca's midfielder but Barca are not starved of options both in-house and in the market.
