Reece James to miss three games next season after red card v Brighton

Reece James was sent off in the 88th minute of the Brighton game.

The right-back kicked Joao Pedro when on the floor after getting fouled. It took a lengthy VAR check and the referee decided to give the Chelsea captain his marching orders.

This is Reece's second red card of the season, which means he will miss four games.

There is only one game to play this season but red-card suspensions transfer across seasons so James will miss the three first games of the 2024/25 season.
