'If you don’t see that, you’re a filthy casual': Chelsea fans debate 'give the boy time' question on Nicolas Jackson

Nicolas Jackson is perhaps one of the most debatable players in the Chelsea squad as he clearly has a lot of good and bad attributes. The contrast, though, is too big, so fans' opinions are divided as well.

Reddit use Sprocket25 asked Blues supporters to 'give the boy time'. Here's how others answered.

'Give the boy time' comments

Dutch1206: "I’ve never felt compelled to judge any of the players except Sterling because he’s on 325k per week and looks only marginally better than the players out there yesterday."

"Jackson, I’ll give time because he’s not even a natural #9. He’s a converted winger by trade."

connor1295: "IMO Jackson will be great for us, but barring injury or other unforeseeable circumstances I think worst case he’s a great backup striker."

KindSpectacle: "I believe in this guy. He’s got real talent. If you don’t see that, you’re a filthy casual."

'Don't give the boy time' comments

_n0_IG_3418: "Until he proves it he’s still a player who can’t finish his dinner if you put it in your hand and put it right in his mouth."

Nice_guy10: "He’s brilliant on the wing - he’s quick, got great dribbling, and has an eye for playmaking. However, his slow decision-making in the final third as a number 9 has cost us way too many chances this season, especially on the counter attack."

"We need a proper striker."

The comment that has some truth in it

fernboyyy: "Y’all change your opinion on this man weekly lol."

This season Nicolas Jackson scored 14 goals and made 5 assists across 40 appearances for his club. Not bad but the goals number could be much bigger if Jackson improved his finishing. At least the man understands his problem.
