Diego Costa emerges as unexpected hero in Brazil's devastating floods

Despite his notorious reputation as a master of shithousery on the pitch, former Chelsea man Diego Costa has proven himself to be a decent human being.

The Brazilian, now playing at Gremio, demonstrated remarkable humanity by visiting the flood-affected region in southern Rio Grande do Sul.

Amidst the devastation caused by the worst floods in 80 years, Costa took action. He personally engaged with locals, inquiring about their needs during this perilous situation.

Not content with mere inquiries, Costa went above and beyond. He mobilized his resources, including a jet ski, which he transported in his truck. Rallying four friends with additional jet skis, they embarked on a mission to aid those stranded by the floods.

The former Chelsea man also opened his own home as temporary shelter for some of the affected individuals.
