Michael Oliver did not endear himself to Chelsea fans after a controversial decision in the second half of the FA Cup semi-final against Man City.
After Cole Palmer's free kick, the ball hit Jack Grealish's arm. The arm was outstretched, i.e. not in a natural position, and Grealish moved it down towards the ball, making Chelsea's penalty call very strong.
Mauricio Pochettino had a perfect view and believed that Chelsea should've got a penalty as well.
However, after a VAR check, Chelsea did not get even a corner, let alone a penalty.
An overwhelming majority of Chelsea fans argue that this decision is scandalous.
Chelsea Dodgers: "Jack Grealish's arm was away from his body, and he moved towards the ball. Cheats."
Vince: "That's a pen any day. Why are we so lucky with these officials? That's a big hand ball. I don't understand anymore."
Conn: "How is that not a penalty or even a corner? Embarrassing from the ref"
Simon Johnson: "Even if it wasn't a penalty, it is mystifying how Michael Oliver did not give a corner to Chelsea there...obvious deflection. No wonder the Chelsea players were incredulous."
CFC Central: "Need Edward Snowden to drop a Wikileaks on how every referee is paid to screw us in cup semis/finals. a) Arm is in an unnatural position b) shot is goal bound."
Chels HQ: "Btw if Jermaine Jenas thinks it isn't a penalty, it DEFINITELY is a penalty."
Alex Goldberg: "Should protest the game if we lose. That’s diabolical. That’s pure crime."
