"Yes, of course I'm enjoying the Premier League but obviously I don't like our place in the standings, not at all," Enzo Fernandez told DAZN Portugal after Chelsea's 4-3 win over Man United.
"I don't like that place, I like to win, not losing. And seeing ourselves in that position angers me and my teammates.
"But we have to accept it's a process and let's hope next season will be much better for us."
After beating Man United, Chelsea are back in the top half of the table, level on points with Brighton who sit ninth.
The Champions League area is an unrealistic target for the remainder of the season. However, Man United are just five points ahead in sixth, so Chelsea can still compete for places in the Europa or Conference League.
Still, that's not what players would've hoped for as they agreed to join the club over the past three transfer windows.
