Liverpool delivered at least double injury blow a week before Carabao Cup final v Chelsea

Liverpool defeated Brentford 4-1 in the Premier League, but the game added to their worries ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea on February 25.

In the first half, Jurgen Klopp's side lost Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota to injuries.

Jota is a particularly serious loss as he was Premier League's Player of the Month in January, scoring four goals and registering three assists in the last six league games.

After the game, Klopp admitted that it 'didn’t look great' for either player, suggesting that they could be out of contention for the Chelsea clash.

Moreover, Darwin Nunez was also taken off at half-time, although this appears to be a case of precaution.
