Brighton reach agreement on deal for Chelsea target Mohammed Kudus (reliability: 5 stars)

According to The Atheltic, Brighton have reached an agreement in principle to sign Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

The 23-year-old has been previously targeted by Chelsea who have made contact with the Dutch side over a potential transfer.

However, Kudus is now closer to joining Brighton who have agreed a €40m fee for the Ghana international. An agreement on personal terms is close.

Chelsea's and Brighton's transfer business has been closely intertwined since the arrival of the new owners at Stamford Bridge.

They are still in talks over a move for Moises Caicedo, having finalised Robert Sanchez's switch to London this week.
