According to Madrid-based media outlet AS, Atletico Madrid view Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a potential replacement for Joao Felix.
Chelsea have already agreed a loan deal for Felix for a £9million loan fee, with his full salary paid by the Blues as well.
As they have also sold Matheus Cunha to Wolves, Atletico are now looking for ways to bolster their squad in the attacking area.
Aubameyang, meanwhile, faces an uncertain future at Chelsea. His last appearance for the Blues came in the Premier League game with Man City when he was subbed on and then off without making a significant impact.
The 33-year-old missed the FA Cup against the same opponents three days later due to a minor back problem. So far, he's only scored three goals for Chelsea this season.
Aubameyang is not the only player considered by Atletico: their list also includes Gladbach striker Marcus Thuram who has been linked with Chelsea as well.
