Pep Guardiola has praised Mikel Arteta for the way he’s kept Arsenal in the 2023/24 Premier League title race heading into the final match of the season.
Speaking after Man City’s 2-0 win over Arsenal, he told BeIn Sport: “What can I say? He’s an incredible manager what they have done this season with Arsenal.
“And he will not give up, they will try to win against Everton and wait what happens. But it’s what we want, the game depends on us.”
Arsenal have a slender chance to win the title, but it’s not impossible either. The Gunners need to focus on defeating Everton in their final match of the campaign and hope West Ham United can hold Man City to a draw or defeat them.
Incidentally, a Man City draw and an Arsenal win will see both teams end the 2023/24 season on 89 points. But the Gunners will clinch the title on the basis of superior goal difference.
