'I knew you were going to ask me': Mikel Arteta responds to question over VAR controversies

Arsenal fans were unhappy as their opponents were unpunished for some rough tackles on Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, argue that their goal ruled out for a nudge on David Raya should've stood.

Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta explained what efforts he had to make to avoid speaking on the subject.

"The honest answer is I haven’t seen any of the incidents because I knew you were going to ask me. I did it on purpose. The analysts said do you want to watch it and I said no because then I can tell the truth," the boss said.
