Mikel Arteta fires warning to Partey after first appearance in 4 months

Mikel Arteta has warned Thomas Partey that he must earn his minutes for Arsenal in the remaining games of the season.

The Ghanaian came on as a second-half substitute in the 6-0 win against Sheffield United on Monday night.

“Today obviously Thomas is available now to play a certain number of minutes,” the Spanish tactician said on the club’s website.

“He needs to build that because it was his first minutes after four months which is a long time. And then, like everybody, you need to have the right to earn the minutes.”

Partey will be hoping to feature when Arsenal take on their London rivals Brentford FC in a league encounter on Saturday.
