Everton boss dismisses Amadou Onana links & 2 more under-radar Arsenal stories

Xhaka wins Player of the Year award

Granit Xhaka has won the Switzerland Player of the Year award for 2023, his second consecutive year claiming the honour and third time overall.

The 31-year-old midfielder spent the first half of the year Arsenal, playing a key role in the Gunners' 2022/23 title challenge under Mikel Arteta, his mentor.

Souness claims Smith Rowe as good as Havertz

Graeme Souness doesn't believe Arsenal needed to sign Kai Havertz as they already have a skilled player in Emile Smith Rowe.

Quoted by TBR Football, the former Liverpool man said: "Smith Rowe. I like him. As a midfield player, running into the box, clever passes. Everything seems to be done when he’s sprinting, which I like. He’s a goal threat. And then Arteta spends £60 million on Havertz."

Dyche reacts to Onana links

Everton boss Sean Dyche has dismissed Amadou Onana's recent transfer links to Arsenal.

As per 90Min, Dyche said: "He's been heavily linked before I was here and after, it's just another story. He's an Everton player, so any decision that we make on players, it will be us that decide."
