Porto chief on being drawn to face Arsenal: 'It's an unequal fight'

FC Porto have been drawn to face Arsenal in the Champions League Round of 16.

Their vice-president Vitor Baia is not happy with the draw, as he reckons it's an 'unequal fight'.

Expressing his disappointment at the draw, Baia said in an interview quoted by the Daily Mirror: "They have young players who form a quality team with a very interesting dynamic.

"They have strengthened well and play in one of the main leagues in the world.

"Arsenal have weapons that unfortunately we don’t have. Their financial capacity allows them to buy the best players and talents with the highest quality, as was the case with our Fabio Vieira.

"But we never hide from this issue. It is, in fact, an unequal fight, but we have performed authentic miracles with what we have."

Baia is being a tad modest as Porto have consistently challenged for the Primeira Liga title and are part of the race this season as well.

They have also been unpredictable opponents in Europe over the years. They are in good form this term, emerging second in their group only behind Barcelona.
