Double standards in VAR application: Nketiah sent off as Tarkowski's similar foul not even checked

Eddie Nketiah was sent off after a VAR check. The referee initially showed only a yellow card but upgraded it to red after reviewing the episode through the on-pitch monitor.

Ok, if that was a red card, so why wasn't James Tarkowski of Burnley sent off for a similar challenge?!

If Eddie's tackle was obviously unintentional, Tarkowski was well aware of what he's doing.

Moreover, the referee didn't even consult VAR! Eventually, the Clarets won the game at West Ham 1-0. It may cost dearly to the Hammers as they are fighting for survival.
